Brett Mauldin is a second-generation construction company owner from the Madison area who started working in the family business at 11. He was the first non-builder to serve as president of the Lake Oconee Builders Association and sits on the National Association of Home Builders' national board. He and his wife, Candice, have three children. He won the May Republican primary over Wendell McNeal with 80%. “At my core, I'm a protector,” he said announcing his run.
