Trey Sheppard (Howard C. Sheppard) is a lifelong Sandersville resident and co-president of Howard Sheppard, Inc., a family trucking and logistics company. He is chairman of Citizens Bank of the South, a former chairman of the state board of the Technical College System of Georgia, and has served with the Washington County Development Authority, the Georgia Motor Trucking Association and the Georgia Mining Association. He and his wife, Emily, have four children. He was unopposed in the May Republican primary.
